classroom workshops |
The illustration classroom workshop was led by artist Jane Porter working with a group of Yr 6 pupils. The session begins with a visit by members of London Zoo education outreach team and Roberta the Macaw. Pupils then draw from life and create simple stories involving a Macaw to produce individual collaged picture books. Jane uses acrylic paint as part of this workshop and old clothes are advised for this part of the process. The books are bound and stitched and advice is given for materials and techniques.
